The game of golf is easy to watch and difficult to play for most of the beginners, the situation might get frustrating when beginners are not aware of the rules and etiquettes to be followed while on the course. When the beginners start playing regularly on the course there are certain rules and guidelines that they have to obey so that the game is enjoyable for them and the other players. Golf etiquettes are nothing but rules which need to be followed by both set of players. A good behavior on the course means nothing but good manners. The golf etiquettes keep the golfers moving thus preventing rounds from getting longer. The rules are also formulated for the safety of the players. A beginner before hitting the course must be familiar with all the sets of golf etiquettes in order to prevent any embarrassment for themselves and also for others.

Etiquettes to be Followed on the Golf Course

Beginners in the game of golf should follow the etiquettes while playing on the course which includes being patient on the course and respecting other golfers who are on course. While on the course one should not be too noisy so as to disturb the concentration of other players. Light conversations and laughs are fine but one should not indulge in laughing loudly or getting noisy about things. Players should make sure to arrive in time for their tee-off on the course. Beginners in the game should be aware of their marker and the ball number so that there is no confusion and this way one also avoids stroke penalties in the game. Players must remember that the tee off zone on the course is not for practice swings. Players must not stand near, in front of or too close to other players. When the other golfer is making his shots one should be quiet so as not to disturb their concentration during the shot. In order to avoid any delay in the game players must be ready to play their ball. As soon as the shot is over leave the tee, players must make sure that the game flows at its pace and hence do not linger on at the course unnecessarily.

Etiquettes to be followed on the Green

While on the green players must remember that the ball which has the longest distance from the hole has to be played first. Players should also not tread on the putting lines of their flight partners. Be sure to mark your ball as early as it lies on the green. When the flight partners want to take their puts stay away at some distance. Unless the flight partner plays his ball stay quiet. Take the ball out of the hole by picking it up by hand instead of the putter. Before leaving the green be sure to remove any marks that may damage the green such as spikes, flag hole and others.                         

These simple etiquettes must be kept in mind not only by the beginners but also for anyone playing the game as they help in enjoying the game thoroughly.
