Golf tips for beginners Golf is a sport in which a player uses a variety of clubs to strike or hit the ball into each hole at the course in the lowest possible number of strikes. Golf doesn’t use standardized playing area; the game is played in golf courses in which each course consists of 9 or 18 separate holes; each course has a uniqueness of its own. Golf is considered as one of the most extraordinary gentleman sports in the world. Followings are comprehensive guidelines for playing golf in an effective manner: Balance: Balance is the foundation of golf which is the basic and preliminary need of beginners. The first step of all beginners is to make a decision of what you really want and to be convinced not to change your technique or method every time you find yourself off the game. Most of the first time beginners find confusion regarding the grip of the hands, the position of the ball, the position of the feet, the style and weight of clubs, keeping the eye on ball, length of shafts, and following through. Every stroke requires full intense concentration for success in the game. If the player loses his balance in his stroke delivery then there is no point of concentrating on other parts of the stroke which composes a swing. The absolute importance in golf play is addressing the ball correctly. Try to avoid hasty glances that may cause your strikes to become quite nasty. There are 2 sweeps or circles, one is the vertical sweep (imparted by arms lifting the club over the shoulder) and the other is the horizontal sweep (imparting by the bend and twist of the body). These two sweeps are quite important to be maintained to make a successful golf stroke. Correct grip pressure: The popular way of holding a club is the Vardon grip; the left hand grasps the handle of the club by placing the hand open underneath the shaft; two middle fingers are placed against the shaft in an upward position and then slid along towards the left hand until the finger next to the little finger contacts the forefinger of the left hand; two middle fingers are then creased around the shaft. There are various golfing shots that you can try to give a best shot. Such shots are Playing the Cleek, Mid-Iron Golf Shot, and the Mashie Golf Shot. Playing the Cleek: ‘Playing the Cleek shot’, in golf, is a good idea to impress spectators. Club manufacturers have created a model which takes good care of the difference in the nature of the waft to be hit with a cleek; if it is a wooden club then you can make it by lofting the face of the club little more. The Mid-Iron Golf Shot: It is also another good golf shot which is similar to the cleek; golfers are intended to master this meticulous shot to improve their skills. The Mashie Golf Shot: Mashie is one of the amazing clubs which can give you excellent shots; it can also give you a greater range of shots than other clubs.
